Who are clear aligners for?
Clear aligners are a great option for teens and adults who want a more discreet, flexible way to straighten their teeth. It can treat many common concerns like crowding, spacing, and mild to moderate bite issues, and Dr. Pace will confirm if it’s the right fit for your smile during your consultation.

For the best results, aligners should be worn about 23 hours a day, leaving time only for eating and brushing. If they’re not worn consistently, treatment can take longer or may not achieve the ideal outcome. We like to say your trays should be on your teeth as often as braces are, all the time. Braces work well because they stay in place 24/7, so the closer you can replicate that with your aligners, the faster and more predictable your results will be.
Clear aligners can cause some pressure or soreness when you switch to a new aligner set, which is normal and a sign that treatment is working. Most patients find it manageable with soft foods and over the counter pain relievers.
Clear aligners typically requires fewer in-office visits than braces. You’ll come in periodically for progress checks so we can make sure everything is moving as planned and you’re staying on track.
When your aligners are ready, we’ll deliver your first sets and place small tooth-colored attachments (what we like to call little doorknobs) on select teeth. These help the trays gently grip and guide teeth for more efficient, predictable movement.
