Braces and clear aligners are both great options for orthodontic treatment and each have their own benefits.

Braces, like traditional metal braces, are a tried and true option for orthodontic care. The doctor places metal brackets and wires on the teeth, which offer precision and control. Braces are often an economical option for families and can be customized with different color bands. This option is often chosen for its predictability and ability to treat complex cases, but can be used for any kind of orthodontic case.

Angel clear aligners is a clear aligner system that gently guides your teeth into better alignment using a series of custom, removable trays. It offers a flexible, low-profile path to a confident smile, helping you stay comfortable and on track without slowing down your everyday life. Many patients choose clear aligners because they are clear and you can take them out while eating and brushing, making for an aesthetic option for adults or teens and better hygiene.

Yes! At the end of treatment you’ll receive a retainer to help maintain your results. We offer several options, including bonded wire retainers, clear retainers, and Hawley retainers, and together we’ll choose the style that best fits your smile, lifestyle, and long term needs.

The right orthodontist for you should be Board Certified and, most importantly, approach every patient as the unique person they are. Your orthodontist should evaluate the needs of your individual treatment plan along with your lifestyle, preferences and budget to come up with a treatment plan that’s right for you.

Caring for braces takes a little extra attention, but it quickly becomes part of your daily routine. Brush after every meal using a soft toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, making sure to clean around brackets and along the gumline. Floss daily using floss threaders or a water flosser to remove food and plaque from hard-to-reach areas. Avoid sticky, hard, or crunchy foods that can damage brackets and wires, and wear a mouthguard during sports or physical activities.
